Back From Canada and NARSC

Post date: Nov 12, 2012 3:26:35 PM

I just returned from Canada last night, from the North American Regional Science Council meetings in Ottawa.  There were around 500 Economists, Geographers, and Management Scientists there from all over the world... the US, Canada, Spain, Italy, Germany, Austria, France, Brasil, Columbia, Britain, Singapore, Sweden, Japan, Romania, Norway, China, ...  It has been an interesting transition in the past few years, from being the kid who nervously introduces himself to well-known scientists, to the "kids" coming up and introducing themselves to me!  :)

Yesterday was Canada's "Remembrance Day", a day for honoring Veterans, and I got to watch the ceremony in front of Canada's Parliament building from my hotel window.  Ottawa is a nice city, I recommend it.  Try out Mill Street Brewery, and "Poutine", Canada's cheese curd and gravy fries.

Also while I was there the YouTube Channel surpassed 700 subscribers. Thanks for your support!

December 14th addendum: Now over 800!  Sorry for this constant updating... At some point I will stop. We will soon be at 1,000 subscribers and 200,000 views.  I need to make some more videos!
